a memoir about coming of age, really. when i turned 18, i decided that wasting my life to suicide or conformed normalcy wasn't what i wanted to do. so i booked a one-way plane ticket to Hawai'i and ran away, dropping any and all contact with everything and everyone i'd ever known. the story recalls that year i spent in hawaii as i tried to destroy the person i was to find who really lived within.
